Sooner or later you'll want to move funds out — to your own wallet, or cashed out to a bank. This guide covers both, with the safety checks that matter. New here? Start with The Complete OKX Guide.
⚠️ Risk warning: On-chain withdrawals are irreversible — a wrong address or chain can mean permanent loss. Operational tutorial, not investment advice. See our Disclaimer.
The withdrawal flow at a glance

Option 1 — Withdraw on-chain to a wallet
- Go to Assets → Withdraw and pick the coin (e.g. USDT);
- Choose the chain (TRC20, ERC20…) that your receiving wallet supports;
- Paste the receiving address and enter the amount;
- Pass 2FA / fund-password verification and submit.
⚠️ Address and chain must both be correct. Send a small test first, and consider adding frequent addresses to your withdrawal whitelist.
Option 2 — Cash out to a bank (sell via P2P)
Exchanges can't send crypto straight to a bank card — first sell to fiat via P2P, then the merchant pays your account:
- Go to Buy Crypto → P2P → Sell;
- Choose the coin, amount and payment method;
- Pick a reputable merchant and release only after you've received payment;
- Stay inside the platform the whole time.
FAQ
Are there fees? On-chain withdrawals pay a network fee that varies with the chain and congestion. How long does it take? On-chain depends on confirmations — usually minutes to tens of minutes. Wrong address — can I recover it? On-chain transfers are irreversible, so double-check and test small.

The three-system match before withdrawal
The sending platform, blockchain network, and receiving wallet must all support the same asset on the same network. Compare the first and last six address characters. If a memo/tag is required, both address and tag must be correct. Send a small test first, then save the transaction hash with your records.
A platform status of “completed” usually means the asset has left the platform, not that the recipient has credited it. Check network confirmations and then contact the receiving service if necessary. OKX’s own guide warns that the networks must match or assets may be lost. Primary reference: OKX withdrawal guide.
